How do average car prices change?
Russian Automotive Market Research
Russian Automotive Market Research analyzed average prices for new cars in Russia, excluding premium brands, in the period from 2012 to March 2020.
In 2015 the Russian market experienced a sharp increase in the US dollar-ruble exchange rate, which resulted in the significant growth in ruble prices for new cars.
In March 2020 the US dollar-ruble exchange rate sharply grew again. However, many automakers have not yet adjusted prices for cars in accordance with the exchange rate and prices remain at the level of January-February 2020.
It should be noted that the cost of new foreign and Russian cars in US dollars in March 2020 sharply fell.
The infographics of average prices for new premium cars is being prepared.
