The plant in Nizhny Novgorod has launched the full cycle production of Volga cars. According to the brand's press service, the production includes body welding, painting and assembly.

Welding of most components and parts of future cars is performed by robots, while the entire production process is controlled by an intelligent control system.

After welding, the body is sent to the paint shop, where it goes through 19 process stages of washing, phosphating and applying cataphoretic primer. Then specialists apply vibration and noise insulation, protect the seams and joints with sealants, and cover the bottom with anti-noise mastic. These processes are also automated. For example, robots apply secondary primer, base enamel and varnish to the inner and outer surfaces of the body.

Recall that at the moment, the Volga model line-up in Russia is represented by K40 and K50 crossovers, as well as C50 sedan.
