Chery has introduced two updated models of its inexpensive electric "subcompact" cars: Ice Cream and Little Ant, according to the CarNewsChina.
Ice Cream model is known in Russia as a continuation of QQ model, which has been available in the Russian market for a long time and is produced in Kaliningrad at the Avtotor plant. It will have two versions: Vanilla with a range of 120 km and Milkshake, which can travel up to 205 km. In addition, both versions are equipped with a standard rear-view camera and a 9-inch touchscreen display.
Dimensions of the new Little Ant are 3,200 x 1,670 x 1,550 mm, and its wheelbase is 2,150 mm. The novelty will include a fully digital LCD dashboard and a large LCD screen on the center console. The smartphone connection function allows users to remotely control various functions.
It is reported that some versions of Ice Cream and Little Ant will be cheaper than those of Lada Granta, but the price in Russia will definitely be higher than the Chinese one. So, the price of Little Ant starts from 59,900 yuan (767 thousand rubles) and reaches 74,900 yuan (959 thousand rubles), while Ice Cream model is even more affordable — its cost varies from 29,900 yuan (383 thousand rubles) to 43,900 yuan (562 thousand rubles).
