AvtoVAZ summed up the results of maintenance and modernization of equipment during a three-week single corporate leave, which took place from July 28 to August 17, 2025. In total, 10,813 works worth more than 347 million rubles were completed. Modernization and maintenance of production lines were carried out in all AvtoVAZ divisions, as well as at subsidiaries of PSA VIS-Avto JSC and LADA-Izhevsk LLC.
In particular, a robotic body floor manufacturing complex (previously a manual operation) was installed in the LADA Iskra welding shop, which increased the line productivity. New paint chambers were installed in the LADA Granta and LADA Iskra painting shop and the robots for applying varnish were replaced with the most modern and technologically advanced models. Automation of loading of body sides was introduced in the LADA Granta welding shop: this will increase production efficiency and save up to 6 million rubles per year.
The robotic body floor welding system was installed in the LADA Vesta production facility, as well as robots were upgraded on the body base welding line.
A major overhaul of the floor plate conveyor was carried out on the LADA NIVA assembly line: 1,400 meters of the upper and lower sections of the track were replaced. The welding lines were also upgraded and the paint preparation department in the painting shop was retrofitted. As part of the pre-production of the new 1.8-liter engine for the NIVA family, work was carried out in the engine assembly shop.
