The environmental management system of AvtoVAZ JSC has passed the next audit and confirmed compliance with the international standard ISO 14001 and its Russian version – GOST R ISO 14001.

During the audit, measures to improve energy efficiency were noted. In particular, these are the installation of metering devices for various types of energy resources, installation of motion sensors in tunnels, corridors and staircases, and the reduction of heat losses due to reconstruction of glazing in administrative and industrial buildings using double-glazed windows with energy-saving coating. The event on the transition of melting and dispensing furnaces to cooling with recycled water was also noted, which resulted in significant reduction of volume of water resources consumed.
