AvtoVAZ presented the pre-production version of the new LADA Niva Sport
AvtoVAZ showed a pre-production version of the new LADA Niva Sport. The sports SUV received a redesigned exterior and interior, a more powerful engine and a number of other improvements.
The power unit of the novelty is represented by a 16-valve 1.6-liter 118-HP engine from LADA Granta Sport, which replaced the standard 83-HP air breather engine displacement of 1.7 liters.
There are also two transmission levers instead of three installed in the cabin, unlike the basic version of Niva Legend. Thus, Niva Sport is equipped with a single lever for controlling the transfer case and locking the differential according to the principle already implemented for LADA Niva Travel.
