AvtoVAZ plans to spend 600 million rubles to upgrade production

AvtoVAZ will spend extra 600 million rubles on repair, maintenance and installation of new production equipment, as well as renovation of household infrastructure and common areas. The work is carried out during the corporate leave, which runs from July 29 to August 18, Kommersant reports with reference to the company's press service.

According to the AVTOVAZ head Maxim Sokolov, more than 10 thousand tasks are scheduled for three weeks of leave. In particular, the matter concerns checking and adjusting existing and new equipment, preparing for the launch of Lada Aura and e-Largus electric car in Izhevsk in the third quarter of the current year, as well as upgrading the Granta line-up to start Iskra production in early 2025.
