Almost 630 thousand Chinese cars drive on Russian roads

According to Russian Automotive Market Research, as of January 1, 2020, there were 627 thousand cars of Chinese brands in Russia, which is 1.4% of the vehicle population.
Five brands-CHERY, LIFAN, GEELY, GREAT WALL and BYD- account for 90% of the Chinese car population.
The majority of Chinese cars are in the Moscow region – 38.9 thousand units or 6.2%. The five largest regional vehicle populations of Chinese cars also include Moscow, the Krasnodar region, Bashkortostan Republic and the Sverdlovsk region.
The car and other vehicle type population is being updated as of July 1, 2020.

The first mass-produced Russian electric car Atom, will officially go on sale by May 31, 2026.
According to Alfa-Bank documents, the Atom's retail price will be 3,980,000 rubles, with a government subsidy of 925,000 rubles included. This brings the final price for the new car to 3,055,000 rubles.
