A new R6 test bench has been installed at the KAMAZ Engine Plant
A third bench for testing R6 engines has appeared in Shop 415 of the KAMAZ Engine Plant. The need for new equipment is dictated by the growth of production volumes of the inline six-cylinder engines.
The first two benches appeared at the launch of the production of R6 engines in 2018. The installation of the third one began in December 2022 and was completed in May 2023, it took two months for commissioning. Up to 30 R6 units can be tested on one bench in one day. The engine comes to the test boxes directly from the assembly line of the engine.
