

A presentation of the new KAMAZ-52229 tourist bus, running on compressed natural gas (CNG), took place at the Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum, which opened today, October 7, in the Northern Capital.
The bus is equipped with a 235 kW KAMAZ gas engine and robotized gear box. The bus's roof houses 1,110-liter gas cylinders, providing a range of at least 500 km. To improve safety, gas leak sensors are installed in the engine compartment, at the gas cylinder location, and in the liquid engine pre-heater compartment.
The bus belongs to the latest A5 generation. The number of seats is 47. The driver's seat features air suspension, a three-point seat belt, adjustable headrest and armrest, heating, as well as occupant and seat belt sensors. A berth is also provided for the driver. The bus is equipped with video surveillance and climate control systems, as well as an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
