KAMAZ PTC continues to robotize production in order to increase productivity and quality, improve workplace ergonomics and reduce injury-prone situations.

A company from Tatarstan supplies new robots to the auto giant. The Russian supplier has been cooperating with KAMAZ on production robotization for several years and is actively expanding its competencies. According to Airat Faskhutdinov, Director of the Department for Design of New Production and Technology Modeling, Chief Designer of the Technology Center, the first robot installed in production in 2021 confirmed its accuracy characteristics and ease of operation.

The robots will be sent to an automobile plant, an engine plant, a spare parts and components plant to perform sealant application operations and automate machine loading. At the Press and Stamping Plant, they will weld platform parts, sides, frame crossbars, brackets and other products, as well as be involved in washing cabin frames, mastic application operations and moving parts between presses. Russian robots will also appear in the blank production: at the Forge Plant they will be used to move forgings, at the Foundry Plant – for operations of trimming and stripping castings and lining inserts.
