AvtoVAZ released 5 pre-production LADA Iskra cars last week. These are cars in bodies sedan and station wagon and 4 color versions. In addition, it is planned to assemble a larger batch of LADA Iskra this week – the exact planned volume, however, is still unknown.

Recall that LADA Iskra is based on the CMF-B modular platform from the Renault-Nissan alliance, which has been designed with more than 400 new parts. The power plant is represented by three different engines: 8-valve 1.6-liter 90-HP engine coupled with 5-speed manual gear box, 12-valve 106-HP engine of the same displacement coupled with 6-speed and manual gear box, and 106-HP engine combined with automatic gear box.

The novelty equipment will include two front airbags, ESC stability control system, etc.
