In 2025, 110 thousand cars are planned to be produced at the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region. This figure was announced by the head of the region Vladislav Shapsha at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Moreover, the automobile plant, formerly owned by the French Peugeot-Citroen concern, plans to assemble 25 thousand Chinese HAVAL cars, the production of which was launched in November 2024. In addition to HAVAL M6 crossover, Citroen C5 Aircross is assembled at this enterprise.
