ZMZ presented an upgraded cylinder head for ZMZ-409 engine

Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ) presented images of the upgraded cylinder head for ZMZ-409 engine. This power unit is widely used in the UAZ Patriot, Bukhanka, Pickup and Profi models.

The new cylinder head design has increased number of attachment points, including between the spark-plug wells and around the part perimeter. According to ZMZ engineers, such an upgrade will prevent oil leaks at the joints.

Tests of the components being implemented in the UAZ model are currently underway, and their mass production is scheduled for the current quarter of 2025.
