Ural set up the assembly of the new high-capacity vehicle

Russian Automotive Market Research

In September, the assembly of the new four-axle 8x8 Ural-9593 with GVW of up to 44 tons began on the main line of Ural automobile plant as part of the mass production. In 2020, 7 such vehicles will be assembled and sold: these are chassis for heavy crane installations produced by Chelyabinsk mechanical plant (CHMZ), which will be transferred to the customer - Surgutneftegaz.

The advantage of Ural-9593 is its 8x8 wheel arrangement: the permissible load on two front axles can reach 18 tons, the load on the rear axles – 26 tons. The load capacity of the new chassis is up to 30 tons. The extended installation length of up to 8 000 mm expands the possibilities for installing special heavy superstructures for various purposes, including construction, crane, oil and gas.

Ural-9593 is equipped with 422-HP Euro-5 engine, 16-speed gear box and 2-speed transfer case. The cab is cabless, with a sleeping place, improved ergonomics, heat and noise insulation.
