The updated ERA-GLONASS system unit began to be installed on Gorky Automobile Plant vehicles. The main innovation is the connection of an accelerometer, which allows the device to automatically trigger in road accidents, not only in collisions, but also in the event of the vehicle rollover. This solution covers the entire range of models: Gazelle NN, Sobol NN, Gazelle NEXT, Gazelle Business and Sobol Business light commercial vehicles, as well as Gazon NEXT, Sadko NEXT, Sadko 9, Valdai 8 and Valdai 12 trucks.

The previously installed ERA-GLONASS unit reacted to the impacts, recording the moment of the accident and automatically calling emergency services. After the update, with the connection of the accelerometer, the system also registers a change in the spatial position of the vehicle, including a rollover. Installation of the new unit version has already begun — all models rolling off the assembly line are equipped with it.
