UMO U5 received Vehicle Type Approval in Russia

UMO U5 electric crossover, which is a modified version of GAC Aion Y Plus, has received official Vehicle Type Approval. This model will be released jointly by EM Rus (EVM) and the Moskvich automobile plant, while the project is coordinated by Yandex.Electro.

Earlier it became known that UMO brand was registered with Rospatent by Yandex on November 12, covering classes 12 and 37, which include cars and chargers for them. According to information provided by Yandex, the expected price for a new electric car will be 2.4 million rubles, taking into account the state subsidy for electric cars in the amount of 925 thousand rubles.

UMO U5 is an all-wheel drive electric crossover equipped with engine capacity of 204 HP. The range varies from 300 to 400 km depending on the time of year. The lithium-iron-phosphate type battery with capacity of 63 kWh charges from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes.
