Trial tests of KAMAZ-54901 vehicle running on liquefied natural gas in the fleet of Transport Technologies LLC have been completed. The new K5 generation long-haul tractor unit was highly appreciated by the potential consumer.
As part of the project to test trucks of the new K5 model range in the fleets of potential customers, which is being implemented by JSC TFK KAMAZ, another test drive of vehicles took place in the fleet of the Transport Technologies logistics company. KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit was handed over to a potential consumer for a period of one month. High-tech vehicles coupled with a refrigerated van were involved in transportation of food along the "Moscow – Rostov-on-Don – Moscow" route.
KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit is the flagship of the company's new model range. The vehicle is equipped with a new fuel efficient KAMAZ six-cylinder inline engine capacity of 482 HP and 12-speed robotized gear box. The vehicle's features include a modern spacious cabin with a flat floor, a multi-steering wheel with cruise control, and a modern on-board information system with a 15.6-inch touchscreen display. The use of modern high-tech design solutions made it possible to increase the service interval to 120 thousand km, and the engine life to 1.5 million km, while reducing fuel consumption by 10% compared to previous generation vehicles.
