The Tutaev Motor Plant, KAMAZ subsidiary in the Yaroslavl region, is preparing production facilities for the assembly and testing of R6 in-line engines designed for agricultural vehicles, industrial installations, river and marine vessels, and diesel locomotives.
Recall that in November and December, Tutaev Motor Plant plans to start production of 430-460-HP R6 inline engines, which will be used to equip industrial installations, river and sea vessels, diesel locomotives and agricultural vehicles. Rostselmash and the Saint Petersburg Tractor Plant will become the main consumers of these engines.
The site will occupy part of the area of the unit body, dividing it with the cast-iron cylinder head machining area. An assembly line will be located in the center of the new site, with lifting devices along it. A place will also be allocated for preparing the engine for testing: refueling it with oil, installing it on a process trolley, flashing the control unit, installing brackets and other tasks. Moreover, there will be a place for the shipment of finished engines. In parallel with arrangement of the assembly line, the areas are being prepared for installation of the test bench transferred by KAMAZ.
