In 2026, the Tutaev Motor Plant, KAMAZ subsidiary in the Yaroslavl region, will implement the first stage of the "Organization of production of R6 engines displacement of 13 liters" project.
The production of R6 engine displacement of 13 liters is a strategic area of work for the plant this year. The first delivery of these products to the assembly line of the Saint Petersburg Tractor Plant is scheduled for July this year. Construction work is currently underway at the R6 engine production site, which is expected to be completed in May.
In particular, work continues on preparation of the inline R6 engines assembly and testing site in the machine assembly shop. Lighting, infrared heating, an assembly stand are installed here, and a substation is being installed.
