The Mexican Nemak plant in Ulyanovsk was sold to a Russian company
At the end of 2024, a deal was signed to sell the Mexican Nemak, a manufacturer of cylinder heads and engine blocks for Volkswagen and Hyundai cars, Ulpressa reports, citing the new owner of the plant, the Russian Promavtoconsult.
It is known that Promavtoconsult has been listed as the official founder since December 12, 2024, and is also the owner of the former Schaeffler plant.
It is also known that Nemak was previously a world leader in the production of high-tech aluminum components, as well as a basic supplier of components for Volkswagen enterprises. Investments in the Ulyanovsk project amounted to about 2 billion rubles, and 30% of the products were exported.

The Gorky Automobile Plant has extended the warranty period for the hub bearings of Gazelle Next rear axle to three years or 150,000 km of mileage.
Recall that earlier, the warranty period was 12 months or 40,000 km. The bearing was classified as a quick-wear part along with brake pads, lamps and silent blocks.
