Smarteco presented a tow truck with a sliding platform on the KAMAZ-53251 chassis
KAMAZ partner, the Nizhny Novgorod Special Purpose Vehicle Plant Smarteco, presented a tow truck with a sliding platform based on the KAMAZ-53251 chassis.
The new model is designed for simultaneous evacuation or transportation of two vehicles at once: one by full loading onto the platform, the second by partial loading onto the underlift, which has a lifting capacity of 2.5 tons. A sliding platform with a usable size of 7,500×2,500 mm is installed on the vehicle. The platform is equipped with a hydraulic winch with a lifting capacity of 6 tons and rear outriggers.
Smarteco tow truck is based on the latest K5 generation KAMAZ-53251 chassis. The vehicle is equipped with a 6-cylinder in-line KAMAZ engine displacement of 6.7 liters, capacity of 301 HP and 8-speed manual gear box. The ECAS air suspension makes it possible to change the platform height during loading and ensures a high smooth ride.
