AvtoVAZ is systematically returning options to LADA cars that were temporarily lost due to increased sanctions pressure. Thus, the company has successfully completed preparations for the start of production of LADA Vesta, equipped with the ESC stability control system. Serial production of LADA Vesta cars with ESC and a number of other comfort and safety options will begin before the end of August 2024.
The ESC system (Electronic Stability Control), which ensures the maintenance of car trajectory set by the driver and improves its cross-country ability, was developed in Russia. The ESC system is a complex that includes an anti-locking brake system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), cornering stability control (CCC), active yaw control (AYC), traction control system (TCS), hydraulic braking assistant (HBA), hill descent control (HAS) and automatic hazard warning (AHW).
ESC tests for LADA Vesta cars have been conducted for 2 years. The cars have successfully been adapted to various climatic conditions and all kinds of road surfaces, including winter landfills and public roads.
