The Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation prepared a draft government decree, according to which citizens can reserve and buy «beautiful» license plates through the portal of public services. The resolution shall come into force on January 1, 2021.

According to the document, citizens will be able to reserve a plate with an attractive combination of letters and numbers through the public services portal, while specific combinations and increased fees for them will be registered in the Tax Code. The maximum amount of state duty will reach 600 thousand rubles. Moreover, the «beautiful» license plate can be redeemed during the auction, rules of which will be set by regions.
