AVTOVAZ JSC starts assembling commercial and passenger vehicles under the SKM brand. The first model will be M7, which will be available in two versions: an all-metal van and a cargo and passenger minivan. Models of the new brand will share the production site with commercial versions of LADA Granta and NIVA and will be produced by VIS-AUTO JSC subsidiary.

SKM vehicles are manufactured using the SKD assembly, based on a painted and glazed body. Engine and chassis parts are supplied separately. Some of the components and materials have already been localized and come from Russian enterprises, in particular, these are all technical fluids of the vehicle, batteries, ERA-GLONASS and telematics system components.

SKM M7 vans and minivans are equipped with 2.0-liter air breather petrol engine (137 HP, 194 Nm of torque) coupled with 5-speed manual gear box, and have a rear-wheel drive layout with an axle and a spring suspension designed for high commercial loads. The basic versions of SKM M7 vehicles are equipped with air conditioner, airbags, driving assistance systems, and remote engine start.
