Polycarbonate production for headlights has been launched at Kazanorgsintez
Kazanorgsintez (part of SIBUR) has launched the production of polycarbonate with a purple hue, intended for the manufacture of car headlight diffusers.
According to the press service of the company, this product allows replacing imported raw materials that have become unavailable in the Russian market.
The formulation was developed by the Kazan and Moscow branches of the SIBUR PolyLab research center by order of the automobile headlights manufacturer Avtosvet LLC. Test headlights for LADA-VESTA car were manufactured using this polycarbonate.
