Mass car production started at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga
The former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga has started the car production. By the end of the year, it is planned to produce 27 thousand cars, according the governor of the region, Vladimir Popov.
Recall that in July 2023, Volkswagen confirmed the value of the transaction for the sale of the Russian business, the transaction amount was EUR 125 million. At the same time, the former Russian representative office of Volkswagen (Volkswagen Group Rus LLC) was renamed AGR Automotive Group (AGR LLC).
