AvtoVAZ has launched sales of an updated version of Lada Niva Legend SUV. The model has received a number of technical improvements affecting the power plant, body and controls, Autonews reports with reference to the company's press service.

So, the updated model is equipped with 1.8-liter 90-HP unit, the torque of which increased by 24 Nm. Fuel consumption per 100 km is 9 liters compared to 9.9 liters in the previous version.

Moreover, to increase the body's resistance to corrosion, parts made of galvanized rolled steel were used — in particular, the hood, the roof and individual rear elements.
