On September 18, 2025, Kirill Polyakov, Vice Governor of Saint Petersburg, paid a working visit to the Avtozavod Saint Petersburg production site.

Mr. Polyakov inspected production facilities and assembly line of the automobile plant, which is currently undergoing mass production of LADA Iskra cars. It should be recalled that the agreement on the arrangement of the Tolyatti novelty production in Saint Petersburg was signed by Maxim Sokolov, President of AvtoVAZ, and Ivan Mironov, CEO of Avtozavod Saint Petersburg, in the middle of June 2025 at the SPIEF site.

At the current stage of the project, LADA Iskra assembly kits are being delivered to Avtozavod Saint Petersburg, including a painted body, and separately a power unit, interior elements, chassis and other components. There are a total of about 1,000 assembly units. The following production operations are carried out on the assembly line: the installation of sound insulation, dashboard, seat belts, ESP, interior and trunk upholstery, engine and front suspension are reassembled, bumpers, wheels, and moldings are mounted. Fully assembled, filled with all process fluids and configured, the car rolls off the assembly line to the quality inspection line.
