KAMAZ shared its production plans for 2025

The KAMAZ Automobile Plant summed up the results of 2024 and set goals for 2025. According to Maxim Mineev, acting director of the automobile plant, with an increase in the pace of assembly the development of new models of K5 generation heavy-duty trucks and implementation of process and logistical projects are continuing at the site.

Implementation of the Axle Manufacturing project continues. More than 100 vehicles have been moved, concrete floors have been installed on the vacated areas and foundations have been prepared for the installation of machine tools and machining centers, sanitation has been carried out including washing, cleaning and painting of metal structures at a site of 16 thousand m2. Over the past year, 44 units of equipment have been delivered to the automobile plant, and 53 more units are expected to arrive this year. At the same time, the fleet is being updated for the production of parts and assemblies for K3 generation vehicles. Installation and commissioning are currently underway in the crankcase and front axle workshops, and trial batches of parts have been manufactured. The axle workshop is upgrading two assembly lines for units designed for K5 heavy-duty trucks. The production of the first axles from localized parts for vehicles of this generation is planned for the third quarter of the current year.

The assembly line for K5 generation cabins is also being upgraded at the automobile plant. The work is carried out in the conditions of the existing production. The modernization should result in a line where full integration of production and logistics will be ensured. The first stage of the project, designed to produce 35,000 cabins per year, is scheduled to be launched at the end of July. The second one is aimed at assembling up to 60 thousand cabins per year. The deadline for completion of these works is March 2026.
