KAMAZ PTC, together with Crane Center KAMAZ and the PALFINGER Group of companies, has produced a specialized vehicle based on the KAMAZ-65958 chassis with INMAN 150N crane manipulator unit and a pipe gripper.
The vehicle is based on the new-generation KAMAZ-65958 (8x8) all-wheel drive chassis with a modern KAMAZ R6 engine (560 HP, Euro-5). INMAN 150N articulated crane manipulator unit is mounted on the rear overhang. This allows to load cargo onto both the vehicle platform and the trailer. The manipulator crane features the load moment of 14.3 t·m. The maximum load capacity of the CMU is 6,100 kg, the maximum working reach of the boom is 8.02 m. At the maximum reach, the unit is capable of lifting cargo weighing up to 1,690 kg. The CMU can be equipped with various interchangeable attachments.
At the customer request, INMAN designed and manufactured a specialized pipe gripper for loading, unloading and installing pipelines for this vehicle. The gripper significantly increases the CMU versatility, allowing one person to work with pipes (125-150 mm) and high-pressure hoses (up to 180 mm), including quick-release connections. The use of a pipe gripper significantly reduces installation and disassembly time, as well as increases safety by minimizing work time at height.
INMAN IM 150N CMU is equipped with an overload protection system that prevents excess of permissible loads. The unit can be controlled both from the ground using a remote control and from an overhead post. The dropside platform is equipped with an awning and steel folding sides, the vehicle can tow a trailer with a maximum weight of up to 14,500 kg.
