The RDC VECTOR oilfield service company has successfully tested the all-wheel drive KAMAZ-65954 tractor unit of the latest K5 generation in real working conditions.
The main purpose of the trial operation was to check the reliability of components and the adaptation of KAMAZ-65954 all-wheel drive tractor unit to the conditions of the oilfield services sector. Heavy-duty vehicle was tested on difficult routes for one month. It operated in the Orenburg region over a distance of about 150 km, delivering process water using a tank semi-trailer capacity of 20 tons.
Most of the route passed along an asphalt highway, where RDC VECTOR specialists assessed the dynamics, handling and fuel efficiency of KAMAZ-65954 at a stable speed. The remaining segment of the route ran along hard off-road directly towards the oil wells, which made it possible to fully test the all-wheel drive chassis, the effectiveness of axle and wheel locks, as well as the overall endurance of components and assemblies under high load.
