VAD JSC tested KAMAZ-6595 dumper. The latest K5 generation vehicle has been working in the fleet of one of the largest road construction companies in Russia for about two months.
The dumper was involved in transportation of cargo and asphalt across the territory of the Leningrad region. At the end of the test run, it was noted that the high-tech K5 generation KAMAZ vehicles are comfortable for use on public roads, and the internal combustion engine capacity, installed on KAMAZ-6595 dumper, is sufficient for cargo transportation.
KAMAZ-6595 dumper is designed to carry bulk construction, industrial, and household goods. KAMAZ-6595 can also be used as a base carrier for various types of special purpose vehicles. The updated cabin with a 4-point spring suspension provides increased comfort for the driver. A multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen display and a multi-steering wheel are installed.
The dumper is equipped with a modern, fuel efficient 482-HP KAMAZ R6 engine and 16-speed manual gear box. A special feature of K5 generation KAMAZ dumper is the reinforced frame and drive axles designed for an axial load of 16 tons. The vehicle has a dump body with a volume of 20 m3. The platform has a heated bottom and side walls with exhaust gases. The load capacity of the dumper is 25 tons.
