The Dixy grocery retailer purchased a reefer based on the KAMAZ-65658 K5 generation chassis after successful trial operation.
The reefer based on the KAMAZ-65658 (6x2) chassis was transferred to the Dixy fleet for trial operation in September 2025. For 3 months, the vehicle transported goods requiring special storage conditions and strict temperature conditions. Tests allowed to evaluate the effectiveness of the new model in real retail logistics conditions.
KAMAZ-65658 model is designed for inter-city cargo transportation over relatively short distances. This multipurpose three-axle vehicle is often chosen by retailers for food delivery, in general, the chassis is convenient for mounting different types of superstructures. Thus, the reefer based on the K5 generation chassis, transferred to Dixy, is equipped with an insulated van manufactured by Mosdesignmash (MDM). The capacity is 53 m3. A multilayer glued 5-layer insulation panel is used, lined with birch plywood and polyurethane plastic on both sides. The door is edged with aluminum with two thermal bridge streams, there are five rows of seals. The refrigeration unit maintains a preset temperature range from -20 to +8 °C. The road compressor is powered by a chassis engine. The cooling capacity at 0 °C is 7,800 W.
