The KAMAZ Trade and Financial company announced the start of sales of a new K5 generation model - KAMAZ–54902.

The 2024 novelty, KAMAZ-54902 (4x2) tractor unit, is a more affordable analogue of the popular KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit. The new vehicle of the K5 line-up is equipped with a modern, comfortable cabin 2,300 mm wide with a low roof and one berth.

The height of the fifth-wheel coupling is 1,150 mm, the load on it is 11,250 kg. The total weight of the towed trailer is 36,250 kg. The vehicle is built on a new sanctions-resistant component base. The time-tested KAMAZ-689 engine capacity of 390 HP has been used. The vehicle is equipped with 12-speed robotized gear box with a retarder, which allows it to safely overcome long descents and reduce the wear of main braking mechanisms. An efficient hypoid drive axle with an optimally matched gear ratio is also installed.

Unlike KAMAZ-54901 long-haul tractor unit, KAMAZ-54902 is designed for regional transportation over relatively short distances – up to one thousand kilometers. The main differences are also caused by the purpose of the models.
