The Service Integrator company, one of the leaders of outsourcing of motor transport services in Russia, has tested KAMAZ-54901 gas-powered tractor units in real-world working conditions.
Vehicles were used to transport goods for one month along routes connecting Moscow with the southern regions of Russia. During this time, tractor units drove a total of about 5 thousand km. During KAMAZ tests, Service Integrator specialists were able to analyze the efficiency, actual fuel consumption and range with one refuel, as well as check the overall reliability of KAMAZ-54901 components and assemblies under heavy loads. In turn, the company's drivers noted the cabin comfort and its thoughtful ergonomics, which ensures easy operation and a good rest during long trips.
The high-tech KAMAZ-54901 running on LNG is a gas–powered version of the K5 generation flagship. In this modification, the vehicle is equipped with KAMAZ R6 (Euro-5) gas engine capacity of 460 HP, automatic gear box and two cryotanks holding 1,060 liters of liquefied natural gas. The use of LNG significantly reduces the owner's fuel costs with a range of up to 1,600 km with one refuel.
