This version has a number of design features that allow it to meet safety requirements for transportation of flammable, explosive or toxic substances. The vehicle is equipped with KAMAZ six-cylinder inline engine capacity of 482 HP and 12-speed robotized gear box. The vehicle's features include a modern spacious cabin with a flat floor, a multi-steering wheel with cruise control, and a modern on-board information system with a 15.6-inch touchscreen display.
NEFAZ-9509 dump semi-trailer is manufactured at the site of NEFAZ PTC, KAMAZ subsidiary in Bashkortostan. The plant is currently producing an improved model. In particular, the main changes concerned the platform volume, the floor and sides thickness, the rigidity of the tailgate, and the lifting capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. Thus, the platform volume has been increased from 30 to 33 m3. The thickness of the floor has been increased from 6 to 8 mm, while that of the sides – from 5 to 6 mm. To increase the tailgate rigidity, perimeter bindings and tailgate struts increased in width were used. The transfer of the maintenance platform attachment to the front wall of the platform using aluminum anti-slip panels with an additional ladder for lifting into the platform and a folding ladder on the platform has been implemented. The load capacity of the hydraulic cylinder has been increased from 53 to 63 tons.
