Executives of KAMAZ PTC are participating in the business program of the Public Transport 2026 Forum, which opened today, on October 14, in Moscow. The leading Russian automotive manufacturer traditionally serves as an official partner of this industry event, showcasing its next A5 generation innovative electric bus, KAMAZ-52222, this year.
Mass production of this model commenced in 2025 following an order from Mosgortrans, Moscow's largest surface public transport operator. The electric bus has a total passenger capacity of 85 people, including 35 seats. It is equipped with a Russian-made NMC battery that provides a range of up to 100 km on a single charge. On-road safety is ensured by an electronic braking system featuring ABS, ASR, and hill-hold assist.
For the first time, this model utilizes outward-swinging plug-sliding doors. This design prevents passengers from getting trapped and increases interior space. All doors are electrically driven. The bus features warning lights that signal door opening and closing. The width of the storage area has been expanded to 1,380 mm, meeting requirements of European standards. The electric bus also utilizes an upgraded climate control system with optimized airflow distribution.
