Iran has signed a memorandum with Russia on the export of cars for $ 300 million. This was announced by the head of the Iranian Association of Auto Parts Manufacturers Mohammad Reza Najafi Manesh.
In August, it was also reported that Iran's largest automaker Iran Khodro plans to launch car sales in Russia in 2023. According to Iran Khodro CEO Mehdi Khatibi, the company has negotiated with Moscow, and the Russian market will become "one of the most important for it." Previously, the manufacturer exported models to Russia in the late 2000s.
The company is also considering opening an Iran Khodro dealership in Rostov-on-Don.
