GC STT presented a gas fire extinguishing vehicle on the Valdai 12 chassis

"Modern Transport Technologies" (STT), in conjunction with the Nizhny Novgorod Automotive Plant, presented the AGT-1 gas extinguishing vehicle on the Valdai 12 chassis. The vehicle is designed for extinguishing fires at energy and telecommunications facilities, as well as in data processing centers – places where water and foam can cause more damage to expensive electronic and electrical equipment than the fire itself. AGT-1 uses carbon dioxide (CO2) as a fire extinguishing agent. It does not conduct electricity and leaves no residue after use, thus not damaging any surviving equipment.

The vehicle delivers a combat crew of 5 people, fire-fighting equipment, and 1,000 kg of CO2 to the work site. Two independent hose lines, each 50 m long, are provided for discharging the extinguishing agent. Each can be extended by another 25 m – up to 75 m in each direction. The sleeves are wound up using an electrically driven device, with manual winding provided if necessary.

AGT-1 is based on the Valdai 12 chassis with 4x2 wheel arrangement. Compact dimensions and a turning radius of no more than 10 m allow the vehicle to be used within industrial sites and internal driveways. The mobile complex can perform emergency reserve functions for the main site and remote technical zones, and support the facility's fire and emergency services. Its application is envisaged within the framework of a pre-agreed response procedure, taking into account the specifics of the protected infrastructure.
