Former Mercedes plant in Esipovo is scheduled for relaunch in 2027

The former Mercedes-Benz plant located in the Esipovo Industrial Park near Moscow will resume operations in 2027 with a new partner, according to Andrey Olkhovsky, CEO of Avtodom.

Recall that the plant originally opened in the Solnechnogorsk district's Esipovo Industrial Park in 2019. The initial five-year plan projected an annual output of approximately 25,000 cars. However, in March 2022, the German automaker left Russia, suspending operations at the facility. Mercedes subsequently decided to divest its Russian assets, which were acquired by the Avtodom dealer group in spring of last year.
