AvtoVAZ reports on the next stage of modernization

AvtoVAZ JSC, the largest Russian car and light commercial vehicle automaker, has fully completed the next stage of production modernization, which was carried out in the first half of May 2026.

A total of 15,361 tasks were completed during the period from May 1 to May 17 as part of the modernization. The total amount of financing for the work made 543 million rubles from the company's own funds, which continues to show consistently positive financial results in both operating and net profit over the first four months of 2026. Recall that beginning 2022, AVTOVAZ annually achieves positive economic results of its activities.

As a result of production modernization on Line No. 3 (Granta, Iskra), the processes of preparing vehicle kits (sets of components for car assembly) have been optimized, the process of loading the roof into the Granta body welding line has been automated, and a number of other important tasks has been implemented. Line No. 1 (Vesta, Aura) has switched to automated welding pliers at separate welding stations. New welding equipment has been installed, new welding posts have been set up, and other significant tasks have been completed on Line No. 2 (Niva).
