As part of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, AvtoVAZ JSC presented a large-scale exhibition dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the company. The traditional street display features three cars reflecting the brand evolution.
For example, LADA Niva Legend SUV received a new 1.8-liter 8-valve engine, upgraded chassis and body, as well as new electronic systems. All technical characteristics of the car have been improved: from economy to handling, dynamics and passive safety. At the same time, the classic recognizable design is preserved. In total, the car received than 100 new and more than 60 upgraded parts and assemblies.
Moreover, the exhibition includes VAZ-2101 "Pervy" as the starting point of history and the new flagship LADA AZIMUT crossover, production of which will begin in the third quarter of the current year.
LADA Iskra TMS, a racing car developed by TMS Motorsport in partnership with AvtoVAZ JSC, was also presented at the event. The model is equipped with 1.6-liter 218-HP turbocharged unit (280 Nm of torque), coupled with 6-speed sequential manual gear box. The racing car received a lightweight body with a welded safety frame, an aerodynamic body kit, a reinforced suspension with shock absorbers with adjustable compression and rebound, as well as new 17-inch wheel disks.
