AvtoVAZ plans to seriously upgrade LADA Niva Travel in 2025.
It became known from insider sources that the model will be equipped with a fundamentally new 8-valve 90-HP unit. It is assumed that reduced capacity will increase the torque and make it "even" in almost the entire speed range over 1,500 rpm, which is similar to the performance of diesel power plants.
Moreover, in 2025, AvtoVAZ announces the completion of chassis unification of both Niva versions. In particular, Niva Legend is currently equipped with an upgraded front suspension with double-row bearings, while Niva Travel is equipped with a simpler single-lever transfer case control system. During the unification, the chassis of both SUVs will be made almost identical, transferring the best practices from them into a single common design.
