Avtotor has launched the production of BAIC BJ40
Kommersant reports that Avtotor in cooperation with BAIC has launched the production of a new model — BAIC BJ40 SUV at the Kaliningrad plant.
The matter concerns a frame SUV equipped with 2.0-liter petrol unit capacity of 225 HP coupled with 8-speed automatic gear box, all-wheel drive and a transfer case with a downshift.
BAIC BJ40 features a transformable body. Moreover, the five-door SUV has a removable hard roof that opens the luggage compartment and the rear row of seats. The spare wheel is attached to the trunk door.
Earlier, Avtotor announced its plans to produce 7 BAIC models in 2023.
