Aurus production will be set up at the former Toyota plant in Saint Petersburg
The Russian Aurus plans to produce cars together with foreign partners at the former Toyota plant in Saint Petersburg.
Currently, the Aurus line-up is represented by Senat sedan. It is equipped with 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine capacity of 598 HP and 880 Nm of torque. An electric motor is installed with it, its peak capacity is 62 HP. The power unit is coupled with 9-speed automatic gear box.
The company is also producing a full-size Aurus Komendant crossover, which is technically similar to Senat sedan. They share a common modular EMP platform and a power plant consisting of 4.4-liter 598-HP V8 unit and 9-speed KATE automatic gear box with a built-in 62-HP electric motor.
