ADAS elements will be introduced into AvtoVAZ models

AvtoVAZ intends to introduce autopilot and active safety elements ADAS into its cars, according to the materials of the company's press conference.

The company did not announce which ADAS systems will be introduced into cars, but at the moment it is known that only one of the ADAS systems is installed in Lada Vesta — the ESC electronic stability control system. Such cars have been on sale since September 2024.

Recall that ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System) is a set of "smart" safety systems aimed to prevent accidents and reduce the burden on the driver. To do this, some of these systems have the ability to interfere with driving. Both full-fledged autopilot systems and, for example, electronic driver assistants, in particular, electronic stability control (ESC) or cruise control, can be considered as ADAS.
