KAMAZ PTC and the Moskommash production company have developed the first prototype of a garbage truck based on the KAMAZ-53253 K5 generation chassis. The model was created taking into account the moratorium on weight control of MSW machinery terminated in 2028 and fully complies with the requirements of the Russian Federation legislation on permissible axial loads.

The novelty is based on a two–axle K5 generation KAMAZ-53253 (4x2) chassis with a short wheelbase (3,900 mm), designed specifically for installation of utility superstructures. With a total vehicle weight of 18 tons, the load capacity of the chassis is 11.84 tons. The vehicle is equipped with 310-HP KAMAZ engine, robotized gear box and a modern comfortable low cabin without a berth. The 260-liter aluminum fuel tank has a heated fuel intake for trouble-free operation in winter. The pneumatic rear suspension in combination with a spring-loaded front one and a sturdy frame provide the vehicle with a high margin of reliability when working with heavy loads.
