A new battery plant will be built in Kaliningrad
Kaliningrad Avtotor announced the start of work on a future plant for the production of electric vehicle batteries. Currently, the development and approval of the equipment layout is underway at a new site in the Kaliningrad district named after A. Kosmodemyansky.
The battery plant will become part of the new Avtotor complex, which will also include sites for the production of electric motors, electronic systems, plastics, robotics, compact electric vehicles, non-standard equipment and tooling, as well as a foundry and mechanical plant. According to the company, the total investment in the new enterprise will amount to at least 32 billion rubles.
