Minsk Automobile Plant has shown how it can do without imported components. It achieved the process independence by creating a line-up of vehicles with components replaced at the production facilities of Belarus, Russia and other friendly countries. This allowed MAZ to maintain the production volumes and increase them.
Now MAZ is preparing for serial production of third-generation buses in an anti-sanction design. They will run on diesel fuel, natural gas and liquefied methane. For example, instead of MAZ-251, the tourist MAZ-350 will be produced. Its passenger capacity was increased from 44 to 68 seats.
On the basis of the third-generation MAZ-303 diesel bus, an eco-friendly electric bus has been created with maximum unification in nodes, aggregates, cladding elements and electronic systems. An important feature of its design is the presence of electric heating, which ensures the environmental friendliness of this model. The battery charge of the model is enough for 300 km.
